Surgimed Corporation is an international medical device distributor with more than 45 years of experience and customers in over 50 countries/territories. We service 250+ healthcare providers and distributors with a huge selection of products from the over 40 name brands that we represent. Our 60,000 square foot facility is strategically located in South Florida to service the global community.

Surgimed has a presence in over 50 countries/territories across Latin America, Caribbean, South America, and the US.
History
Surgimed was founded in 1981 by Fernando L. Lavoi as a small medical supplies distribution company out of his home office in Miami, Florida. Within the first 2 years Surgimed was representing several manufacturers and had moved into a small office. By 1987, Surgimed signed a contract with Becton Dickinson and had moved again into a larger office with its own warehouse. Within the next decade, Surgimed was distributing for several leading manufactures such as J&J, Conmed, Rusch, Hudson, and Kendall Healthcare. Continuing to grow in 1997, Surgimed moved into its current home, a 60,000 ft2 facility strategically located in Doral, FL. In 2005, followed by customer demand, Surgimed developed its own brand of products under the name, Forsure Medical Products. In 2012, Surgimed was awarded its first GPO contract in the US with Premier Inc. 2017 began distributing Cardinal Health.
